Avital Friedman

Avital Friedman joined the ASIRT team in June 2009 as an intern and became Program Assistant in January 2010. As Program Assistant, she is responsible for providing support for all ASIRT programs, primarily those relating to international advocacy and country work. Ms. Friedman graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Anthropology, with concentrations in cultural anthropology and medical anthropology/public health. She has held internship positions at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Anthropology Department) and Center for International Settlement and Development.
