Summer Tips

Using seat belts is a learned habit. Buckle up every time you and your passengers are preparing to travel.
Watch for pedestrians and cyclists. They may appear suddenly, and you may need time to stop.
Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks and stop well before the crosswalk.
Make eye contact with pedestrians to signal they can cross.
Never pass vehicles stopped at a crosswalk.
Stay alert at all times, keep your eyes on the road. Don’t use your phone, even hands-free.
Do not drink and drive.
Adhere to speed limits.
Use extra caution when driving in hard-to-see conditions, including night, bad weather and parking lots.
